The “Duldung” (Temporary Suspension of Deportation) does not provide a residence permit comparable to the Limited Residency Permit (Aufenthaltserlaubnis). Official permission to remain is granted despite a missing residence title and the forcible expulsion from the federal territory is suspended. The “Duldung” is given, if a deportation for legal or actual reasons is impossible. The “Duldung” duration is usually six months, although it can be a shorter time frame. The “Duldung” is spatially limited and further requirements and constraints can be imposed.
